Safe and stable pressure boosting in the living area
The Wilo-PB is a non self-priming, single-stage centrifugal pump for automatic water supply/pressure boosting. It is a downward installation for the supply from a tank (e.g. elevated tank) on the rooftop to extraction points located beneath for single-family/two-family houses. It is the ideal pump in case of low or fluctuating water pressure in the public distribution network and it guarantees a stable water pressure due to an automatic operation.

Description/construction
Submersible pump for stationary and portable wet-well installation in fully automatic mode with attached float switch. Water-cooled basement drainage pump.

Hydraulics
The pumps are equipped with an open multi-vane impeller and have a free ball passage of 10 mm (TM/TMW) or 2 mm (TMR). The pressure connection is a vertical hose connection (TM) or threaded connection (TMW/TMR).

Motor
Sheath flow-cooled single-phase AC motor with integrated operating capacitor. The motor heat is transferred directly to the fluid via the motor housing.

The motor is equipped with automatic thermal motor monitoring. This means that the motor is switched off if it overheats and will be automatically switched on again once it has cooled down.

Seal
The seal is created on the fluid side by a mechanical seal, and on the motor side by a rotary shaft seal. A sealing chamber with a white-oil filling is located between the gaskets.

Cable
The pump is equipped with a 4 or 10 m long connection cable with a shockproof plug and a fitted float switch (not TM 32/8-10M).

Versions:
Drain TMW with twister function – The twister function guarantees permanent turbulence within the pump’s intake area. This prevents settling sediment from sinking and settling. This results in a clean pump sump and reduces the build-up of odours
Drain TMR with flat suction – The special strainer enables the fluid to be pumped out to a remaining level of 2 mm.

Electronic control unit with frequency converter for speed control of pumps for non-aggressive clear water containing no suspended matter.
The electronic control unit makes it possible, independent of the respective flow rate, to keep the pressure within the system at a constant, previously set target value (Automatic operation) and thus also to minimise the power consumption.
The pressure remains constant at the previously set pressure value.
The pump can be tested in manual mode at its maximum speed.
The Wilo-ElectronicControl starts the pump in automatic mode when the system pressure falls below the set pressure by more than the set pressure difference.
Once the system pressure has reached the set pressure, the Wilo-ElectronicControl stops the pump after a time interval that has been previously set.

Description/construction
Submersible pump with ACS approval for vertical or horizontal installation.

Hydraulics
Multistage submersible-motor pump with 4″ NEMA connection and radial or semi-axial impellers with sectional construction. Integrated non-return valve. All parts that come in contact with the fluid are made of corrosion-free materials.

Motor
Corrosion-free single-phase or three-phase motor for direct starting. Sealed and hermetically cast motor, resin-impregnated, with enamel-insulated winding, self-lubricating bearing, with water-glycol filling.

Cooling
The motor is cooled by the pumped fluid. The motor must always be immersed when operated. The limit values for maximum fluid temperature and minimum flow velocity must be adhered to. Vertical installation is possible with or without cooling jacket. Horizontal installation must be performed in conjunction with a cooling jacket.

Pressure shroud
The pressure shroud is used for the direct installation of the unit in the pipe system. Standard models are without mounted non-return valves. The maximum inlet pressure is 10 bar.

Dual fixed-speed vertical multistage pressure boosting system.

Compact pressure boosting system according to DIN 1988 and DIN EN 806, for direct or indirect connection. Consisting of non self-priming, switched in parallel, vertically-mounted stainless steel high-pressure centrifugal pumps in glanded versions. Ready for connection with stainless steel pipework, mounted on a base frame, including control device with all necessary measurement and adjustment equipment.
For fully automatic water supply and pressure boosting in residential, commercial and public buildings, hotels, hospitals, department stores and for industrial systems.
For pumping drinking water, process water, cooling water, fire water (apart from fire-extinguishing systems in accordance with DIN 14462 and with the approval of the local fire safety authorities) or other types of industrial water that do not attack the materials either chemically or mechanically and do not contain abrasive or long-fibre constituents.
